Falcons Project as NFC South Cellar-Dwellers in 2014

I’m pretty sure all of the die-hard Atlanta Falcons fans stopped reading after the headline. If you were brave enough to venture past the header though, then it’s probably because you bypassed the article to begin posting nasty remarks in my comments section lol.

I have to give Falcons fans more credit than that though. Some people are willing to hear a good argument even if it’s one they don’t agree with.

Falcons Will Return to Playoffs, but That’s About It…

Sorry Atlanta Falcons fans but if you’re looking for your team to make the Super Bowl this year then I can save you 20 weeks’ worth of time right now. It won’t happen this year.

There don’t you feel better? Now you can just sit back, relax and feel all of the stress and tension ease away from your body as you come to the realization that what I’m telling you is correct.

League-leading Falcons, Texans struggle for respect

10-1. Both the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans share this league-leading record but as players on both teams will tell you, nobody in the media seems to be interested in these two teams’ success.

So why has respect been so hard for the Falcons and Texans to come by? Well as a long time Falcons fan I can probably answer why they get so little respect a little quicker.

Falcons’ Matt Ryan is league’s top-rated quarterback

I still can’t believe it. In a quarterback-driven league that features marquee names like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, it’s truly amazing to see the Atlanta Falcons’ Matt Ryan leading the league with a 114 quarterback rating.

What’s even better than Ryan’s QB rating though is the Falcons’ 3-0 record so far this season. They are averaging a 15-point margin in their three victories. Now sure all three wins have come from the weak AFC West but the Falcons have had plenty of opportunities to commit one of their usual letdowns and haven’t.

Falcons’ Julio Jones ready to start his assault on NFL record books

All the talk at the wide receiver position during this offseason has revolved around the comebacks being made by Randy Moss, Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens. While those are nice storylines, the wide receiver most people will be talking about as the season progresses will probably be the Atlanta Falcons Julio Jones.

We know that preseason games don’t matter, but an impressive showing like the one Jones had versus the Baltimore Ravens is hard to ignore.

Khan Job: New Management, Same Old Jaguars

I can’t begin to feel what Jacksonville Jaguars fans are feeling right now but I know it can’t be good. New owner Shahid Khan promised them that things would get better and for a couple of weeks things looked as if they might.

Falcons’ Offense Shutout by Giants? That’s Mularkey!

MIKE MULARKEY
Sure the New York Giants have a pretty good defense but there is no way the Atlanta Falcons should have been shutout during their Wild Card playoff game against the Giants with all of the offensive weapons they possess.

The Falcons scored early and often in this one and were up 41-0 on Jacksonville before the Jaguars scored off of a blocked punt in the third quarter.

Falcons Play Careless on the Road, Lose to Texans 17-10

Houston – Matt Ryan overthrew open receivers and threw two early picks as the Atlanta Falcons fell 17-10 to the Houston Texans. Even with all of the errors Atlanta made early on, they were still in a position to win the game going into the fourth quarter.
