Chiefs’ GM Scott Pioli has yet to address team’s most important position


The Kansas City Chiefs have only had back-to-back winning seasons once since former head coach Marty Schottenheimer was let go after the 1998 season. Schottenheimer put together nine straight winning seasons during his 10-year tenure in Kansas City.

In an effort to return to the level of consistent winning that the Chiefs enjoyed during the Schottenehimer era and accomplish something Schottenheimer wasn’t able to do which is win a Super Bowl, the Chiefs brought in general manager Scott Pioli from the New England Patriots.

Did interim head coach Romeo Crennel outcoach Mike McCarthy or was the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Green Bay Packers the culmination of a perfect storm? That’s really hard to answer even after watching the game.

A Cold Day in Hell: Colts Win, Packers Lose, Tebow Fails

Yeah you heard right, hell just froze over! The rapture’s coming people! It’s the end of the world!

Seriously, how else could you explain today’s events? The Indianapolis Colts finally won their first game of the season beating the Tennessee Titans. Tim Tebow wasn’t able to deliver his usual fourth-quarter magic as the Denver Broncos suffered their first loss in seven games. And the most unbelievable event of the day was the 13-0 Green Bay Packers losing to the 5-8 Kansas City Chiefs.
