Last shoe drops in the Saints’ Bounty scandal

Only four of the 27 players Roger Goodell implemented in the New Orleans Saints’ bounty program will receive punishments for their actions. The league announced today that they have suspended linebacker Jonathan Vilma, linebacker Scott Fujita, defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove and defensive end Will Smith for their “active participation” and for “enthusiastically embracing” the bounty program.

With the revelation of the “bounty” program promoted by current St. Louis Rams’ defensive coordinator Greg Williams during his stints with the  New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins, all eyes are on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as he tries to figure out a punishment to fit the crime.
