Indianapolis Colts’ owner Jim Irsay tweeted on Wednesday
that teams wanting Texas A&M’s Ryan Tannehill better trade up to the
Minnesota Vikings’ third spot to get him. Irsay called Tannehill a "hidden gem" in
this year’s draft.
This was Jim Irsay's actual tweet:

Tannehill is a hidden gem in this draft,a quiet secret who was always sneaking up to #3..you want him,you better talk to Zigi The Biggie!

It remains to be seen though whether this will affect
Tannehill’s draft status. He isn’t rated that high as a draft prospect but with
a number of teams looking for a good quarterback, Tannehill’s draft projections
have him going in the top ten of the draft.
Still Tannehill hasn’t gone any earlier than the eighth spot
on most mock drafts even though many experts feel that he could go earlier to a
team desperate to fill that position.
It seems that Irsay was trying to amplify teams’ level of
desperation by touting Tannehill as a “quiet secret who was always sneaking up
to #3.”
Maybe Irsay knows something we don’t but I doubt it. If he
did know anything about football he wouldn’t have let Peyton Manning go.
